Police arrest 2 Bloomington men on weapons charges

NORMAL – Police in Normal arrested two Bloomington men over the weekend on weapons charges in separate incidents.

Police say Nathandre Campell, 43, had displayed and threatened to use a loaded gun at a hotel at about 10:15 a.m. Saturday. He is being held in the McLean County Jail on a $25,000 bond.

Police also responded to a loud party on Landmark Drive after 2:30 a.m. Sunday where they came upon a man who tried to flee and discard a firearm. KeWayne Spinks, 20, was taken into custody after a struggle with officers who recovered a loaded handgun. Spinks was jailed in lieu of $2,500 cash bond.
