Bloomington man arrested for Sunday armed robbery

BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington Police have arrested a man in connection with an armed robbery on Sunday.

Police say 27-year-old Gregory Hightower is charged with armed robbery, aggravated robbery and robbery. Hightower is accused of taking cash and car keys at gunpoint from a 26-year-old man in the 300 block of East Mulberry Street at about 9 o’clock Sunday night. The victim was struck several times in the head with a handgun and was treated and released from a local hospital.

Police are looking for another man connected to the incident, described as six feet tall with a thin build, black and with dreadlocks. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective John Atteberry at 309-434-2548.
