BLOOMINGTON – Posted speed limits will be broken Saturday in downtown Bloomington – not by cars, but by bicycles.
Bloomington Criterium Race Director Brandon Beehner is trying to make the event as big as it was decades ago.
“Chris Koos used to run this, I think it was called the Pepsi Bloomington Criterium back then,” said Beehner. “That race has a lot of history to it. The pros used to come out and race this race it’s got some great heritage. Hopefully soon we will get it back to that level.”
Registration begins just before 10 in the morning with the races starting and ending at Market and Main streets.
