BLOOMINGTON – A nurse at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center is being remembered following a two vehicle wreck near Streator that took her life.
23 year old Ali Stevenson of Bloomington went to Illinois Weslyan University. The woman that recruited her for the golf program and coached her has been asked to speak at the funeral. Kathy Neipagen remembers the young nurse and her caring nature.
“She never had a bad thing to say about anyone,” said Neipagen. “She could pick you up quicker than anything just by her smile and her presence in the room and she had a very calming effect and I think that’s why she went on into nursing and she was a great nurse out at OSF.”
Neipagen says Stevenson was sometimes hard on herself on the golf course, but only because she cared so much about the success of the team.
