BLOOMINGTON – Former Allin Township Joshua Deterding has been sentenced to four months in jail and 30 months probation after pleading guilty to theft charges.
Deterding stole more than $19,000 from the fire department. Police say Deterding had access to an a department debit card which he used at ATMs in bars.
He reached a plea agreement in April. McLean County Judge Casey Costigan also ordered Deterding to repay $10,000 to the fire department’s insurance carrier and about $2,500 to cover accounting and attorneys fees to the township.
