Probation for man facing sex and drug charges

NORMAL – A 58 year old man from Kampsville is pleading guilty to sex and drug charges in McLean County Court.

Michael Dean is being sentenced to probation after a 2014 incident at a Normal motel. He allegedly tried to have sex with another man.

Police say they found GHB, a date rape drug, in Dean’s travel bag. Dean had been drinking with the victim.

Dean still faces sex abuse charges in southern Illinois and Missouri for incidents that allegedly happened more than four years ago.
