Man tries to jump on train to avoid police

CHILLICOTHE – A Peoria man has been captured after allegedly kicking out a window of a police car to escape custody.

18 year old Lasion March was being transferred to a facility in Lasalle.

It happened Friday just south of Chillicothe when police pulled over on Route 29. T

The suspect began running eastbound toward the Illinois river. March tried to jump on a moving train when he was captured by police. He was still handcuffed with leg shackles.
