BLOOMINGTON – This Saturday, the Downtown Bloomington Farmers’ Market is changing the game.
Through a grant from LINK Up Illinois, the farmers’ market will be distributing and redeeming double value coupons. These coupons can be applied to any locally grown fruits and vegetables which are LINK approved.
The market has a history of wanting locally produced foods to be available to any and all members of the community, being one of the first markets in the state to accept LINK cards, according to market manager Catherine Dunlap.
The Farmers’ Market is managed by the Downtown Bloomington Association The coupons can be attained at the DBA’s information booth, which is located at the intersection of Main and Jefferson.
These coupons lose their validity and must be redeemed by Dec. 17.
