BLOOMINGTON – The Red Cross of the Heartland is seeking hero nominations from the community to honor at its 12th annual Saluting Our Heroes Breakfast.
The breakfast is scheduled for Nov. 9 at the Doubletree by Hilton in Bloomington. The Red Cross will honor local citizens in seven categories: Ambassador, Armed Forces, Good Samaritan, Health & Safety, Public Service, Volunteer and Youth.
The nomination deadline is Aug. 31. Nominations can be submitted by emailing Trish Burnett at Trish.Burnett@redcross.org or submitting it at www.redcross.org/salutingourheroes.
WJBC will also present its Don Munson Spirit of McLean County Award. Nominations for that honor can be submitted by emailing nominate@wjbc.com.
