PEKIN – The Tazewell County Coroner’s Office responded to two fatal crashes within an hour on Monday night.
Coroner Jeff Baldi said the first single-vehicle crash happened at about 5:30 p.m. on Townline-Benson Road north of Hopedale. The victim identified as Michael Jenkins, 61, of Hopedale. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:30 p.m.
Police then responded to Green Valley for another single-vehicle crash. The victim, Steven Boswell, 63 of Delavan, was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead an hour later.
