Bloomington Police: Barricade situation resolved, 1 in custody

BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington police say the operation in the 400 block of North Lee Street has come to a peaceful resolution after someone had barricaded themselves inside a home on Tuesday morning.

Bloomington police were called to the home at 2:47 a.m. on a report that someone inside was armed. Officers set up a perimeter for several blocks while residents in that area were evacuated.

One person was taken into custody. No injuries were reported.

Police spokeswoman Sara Mayer said additional agencies, including Illinois State Police, joined in the effort to bring about a peaceful resolution.
