Chiefs & Lugnuts Rained Out Wednesday

Peoria, IL – The Peoria Chiefs game against the Lansing Lugnuts scheduled for Wednesday has been postponed by rain. The teams will make up the game as part of a Thursday double header starting at 5:00 p.m. and both games will be scheduled for seven innings.

Fans who had tickets to Wednesday’s game can exchange them in person at the Dozer Park Box Office for any other regular season home game in 2016. The Box Office opens at 10:00 a.m. on game days.

Gates will open for the double header at 4:00 p.m. and the first 1000 fans 13 and older get Shaun Livingston Peoria Chiefs bobblehead. The former Peoria Central star and current Golden State Warriors guard will throw out a first pitch before game two and will sign autographs on the concourse during game two to benefit the Shaun Livingston Foundation. Thursday night is also Ghostbusters Night and Budweiser Thirsty Thursday with $2.00 16 ounce domestic draft beers and fountain sodas. College students can get $5.00 tickets with a valid college ID.

The Chiefs are expected to start RHP Sandy Alcantara (5-7, 4.40) in game one and All-Star RHP Jake Woodford (4-3, 2.81) in game two. The Lugnuts are scheduled to start LHP Ryan Borucki (6-3, 2.75) in game one with RHP Jordan Romano (1-0, 1.29) scheduled for game two.
