Downs native and Tri-Valley High School graduate Stephanie Brown came up short in her bid to make the 2016 United States Olympic team Sunday in Eugene, Ore.
Brown finished 10th in the 12-woman 1500-meter finals in a time of 4:11.13. The top three made the Olympic team for the Games in Rio in August.
Pontiac’s Emily Grove also finished 10th in the pole vault with an outdoor career-best 14 feet, 9-inch vault.
