BLOOMINGTON – A man who led local police on a high speed chase in a stolen truck has been sentenced to two years in prison.
McLean County Judge Casey Costigan handed down the sentence on Tuesday for Daniel Williams, 35, of Rockford. Police say he ran when officers tried to arrest in June 2015. He then stole a truck and fled and was involved in a minor crash before leaving the area.
Police arrested him a few days later after he dumped the stolen truck in Rockford.
Multiple traffic charges were dropped in a plea agreement attorneys struck in April. Williams was given credit for 396 days already served behind bars.
