BLOOMINGTON – The Child Protection Network has opened registration for their fall conference to keep you informed on sex offenders.
Director Judy Brucker said Cory Jewell Jensen of Oregon will be speaking in Normal.
Jensen used to counsel sex offenders and will give the community an insiders look into how they operate.
“How do you protect your children when they are involved in a youth based organization, or a faith based organization, or when they are at school?” asked Brucker. “So it’s really to talk about how predators get in to those various communities that we are all apart of in one way or another.”
Brucker says many times the sex offender will gain trust from an adult so they can gain access to the children.
