BLOOMINGTON – The new managers of the U.S. Cellular Coliseum are making progress on finding a new company to take over the venue’s naming rights.
The contract with U.S. Cellular expired earlier this year. Coliseum Executive Director Curtis Webb said they’re working with a company to figure out how much the naming rights might be worth.
“We’ve got that report back and we’re just starting to put it all together,” said Webb. “I’ve kind of got a short list of businesses out there we’d like to target, but obviously if there’s others I’d love to know.”
Webb spoke to the Bloomington City Council about the issue this week. He added they will go to the Council for approval before they officially sell the naming rights.
