BLOOMINGTON – Police say a 16-year-old girl was shot near downtown Bloomington on Thursday night.
Bloomington Police were called to the area between Olive Street and Kentucky Alley in the 300 block of South Madison Street at 10:29 p.m. for a reported drive-by shooting.
The woman’s name hasn’t been released. Police say she was shot in the stomach. Friends took her to Advocate BroMenn Medical Center before police arrived on scene. Her condition isn’t known but police believe her injuries are not life threatening.
No arrests have been made and police don’t have a description of a vehicle or suspects.
