BLOOMINGTON – A Bloomington man could spend the rest of his life in prison after sexually assaulting a child.
Christopher Hinthorn was convicted Thursday by a McLean County Jury on three counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a victim under 13 and three counts of criminal sexual assault.
State’s Attorney Jason Chambers said the assaults took place between 2005 and 2012. Prosecutor Adam Grist said, with this verdict, he hoped the victim “can begin to heal.” Chambers thanked the McLean County Child Advocacy Center, DCFS and Bloomington Police Detective John Heinlein for their dedication to the case.
Hinthorn will be sentenced on Aug. 12.
