BLOOMINGTON – Home Sweet Home Ministries is celebrating the successful completion of its annual May Community Challenge.
The group reached its goal of raising $125,000 through community and private donations.
“That really puts us in a good position for the summer that’s ahead of us,” said CEO Mary Ann Pullin. “It’s going to be a busy summer. The kids are out of school and a lot’s going on here at Home Sweet Home.”
Pullin explained the funds will help the daily operations of Home Sweet Home.
“We have, typically, about 50 adults and about 25 children staying here,” said Pullin. “So each one of those family units receives case management services, so obviously we have the case management salaries. We’re putting food on the table three times a day.”
Pullin said they’re thankful to the community for making the campaign successful once again.
