NORMAL – Organizers want music to fill the air all throughout Normal as Make Music Normal returns for a third year on June 18 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The festival is seeking individuals and organizations who would like to share their musical talents or showcase their organization at an interactive station.
Make Music Normal is an all-day music festival that celebrates the power of music. Free concerts are scheduled throughout the day and this year’s event will feature demonstrations and interactive stations designed to give people a chance to pick up an instrument for the first time, join in a jam session, or make an instrument via traditional and non-traditional methods.
These activities will take place in the plaza between the Children’s Discovery Museum and Uptown Station from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The town is no longer scheduling performers across our venues in Uptown Normal or at the Connie Link Amphitheatre, but organizers welcome folks simply finding a place to play, sharing your music in whatever impromptu venue you choose.
Anyone interested is asked to contact Adam Fox at afox@normal.org or 309-454-9720.
