BLOOMINGTON – A Bloomington man has been sentenced to two years in prison after he pleaded guilty to child endangerment charges in connection with the death of his 2-month old daughter.
Timothy Crafton Sr., 35, reached a plea agreement on Friday in which involuntary manslaughter charges were dismissed. He was given credit for nearly 10 months already served behind bars while awaiting trial.
Leah-Renee Crafton died in 2014 after she was left in a car seat overnight with a blanket covering her face.
The agreement also calls for him to testify during the trial of the child’s mother Elizabeth Potts. A trial date for her hasn’t been set. She faces involuntary manslaughter and other charges.
