Bloomington Police seek suspect in Dollar General armed robbery

BLOOMINGTON – Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Dollar General store at 1020 E. Oakland Ave. on Wednesday.

Bloomington Police describe the suspect as a black male in his 20s with a thin build. He was wearing a bandanna of unknown color covering his face and a hooded sweatshirt. He displayed a handgun and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. The incident was reported to police at 9:41 p.m.

Police say no shots were fired and no one was injured.

Police say he was last seen on foot but don’t know where he was headed. Police ask anyone with information to call detective Todd McCluskey at (309) 434-2380 or call McLean County Crime Stoppers at (309) 828-1111.
