Pekin doctor death under investigation

PEKIN- Pekin Police are investigating the death of a doctor at Pekin Hospital.

Detective Mike Eeten of the Pekin Police Department said that officers responded to a welfare check at the hospital around 1:00 p.m. Monday. They found 57 year-old Dr. Dwayne McQuitty dead in his office.

Police and the Tazewell County Coroner’s Office are investigating the cause, but are not releasing more information at this time.

The Coroner says an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday at the Peoria County Morgue.
