BLOOMINGTON – No charges will be filed at this time for the damage to East Lawn Memorial Gardens last month during a Donald Trump Rally.
Several people parked on cemetery grounds the morning of March 13th damaging at least four grave markers and leaving tire marks on several other grave sites. The estimated cost of the damage has been set between three and five thousand dollars.
The cemetery was used without permission for overflow parking from the trump event at Synergy Flight Center. Bloomington Police say it is not possible to pinpoint which vehicle caused specific damage and therefore charges have not been filed.
Bloomington police say they will investigate any new leads that are reported.
