BLOOMINGTON – Residents in Bloomington-Normal are talking about the importance of voting on Illinois’ primary election day.
Ron Donhardt, a resident of Normal, said voting is an important thing for residents to do in every election.
“It’s one of the few ways that we can really exercise opinions so that people can hear us,” he said.
Bloomington resident Chuck Wilson said he takes voting seriously and added if you don’t vote, you don’t have any reason to complain. Wilson said he voted for Ted Cruz in the Republican presidential primary, he’s not a true supporter of any candidate right now.
“I am a conservative. I think he (Cruz) has the best outlook on where we should be going as a country,” said Wilson. “But I question some of the things that’s been said about him.”
Wilson said Donald Trump has some good ideas, but he has a bad way of showing it. He explained he also does not trust Trump.
