BLOOMINGTON – Rumors the polling place at Illinois State University’s Bone Student Center is running short on ballots are not true, according to McLean County Clerk Kathy Michael.
“We’ve never run out of ballots. I think emotions are running high at ISU and they all need to take a deep breath, and carry on, and get used to standing in line,” Michael said.
Michael told WJBC’s Terry James she’s been in contact with her staff at the Bone Student Center, who tell her they have plenty of ballots.
“Voting has never stopped there. It’s just some folks trying to stir things up,” said Michael. “I know there’s Hilary (Clinton) folks and Bernie (Sanders) folks that are kind of at odds out there.”
Michael added even if they did run out, they can print more at her office and take them out there.
