Police are following up on the complaint about grave site damage at East Lawn Cemetery on Route Nine Sunday.
Chief Heffner says if they can find who is responsible and prove intent the information will be forwarded to the states attorney. The Chief he did not know if the cemetary had markers up telling drivers they were not allowed to park at the cemetery.
“They were not directing people to park over there at all,” said Heffner. “They had told people that they could not park, when that airport lot filled up, they could not park over there anymore and they said they could go park wherever you can legally.”
Heffner says his office was assisting the secret service and they have not yet tabulated the cost of providing protection.
