BLOOMINGTON – Several fee changes have been approved for the McLean County Health Department.
Director Walt Howe explains why.
“Because right now since we have become credentialed with private insurance companies they now allow us to bill both public and private insurance and obviously our fee structures allow us to bill all providers the same amount – the actual cost to us for providing that service,” said Howe.
Howe said many services that used to be bundled together are now being charged separately allowing the health department to be fully paid for each service they offer.
