HEYWORTH – School Ag programs could be on the chopping block as the state legislature cuts funding for ag education.
Paul Brooks with the Heyworth FFA tells WJBC’s Terry James representatives from the school were recently in Springfield.
“We sent our FFA members down to the state capitol, I believe that was last week, to let the congressmen know we’re here if you like the food you eat, you like the water you drink, it’s gonna come from these future leaders right here,” said Brooks.
On Saturday the Heyworth FFA will be holding an auction to bring in needed money for the school. It starts at 5-30 in the Heyworth High School Gymnasium.
