BLOOMINGTON – A McLean County judge has denied a motion to reduce the sentence of a man convicted of beating a homeless veteran to death.
Anthony Davis-Dickson, 20, is serving a 35 year sentence for causing injuries to Ronald Smith in June 2014 that eventually led to his death in July. His attorney argued the sentence was too harsh.
Davis-Dickson is one of three men convicted for the incident at O’Neil Park. Willie Chambers is serving a 42 year prison sentence and Tory Washington will be sentenced on murder charges March 23.
