BLOOMINGTON – McLean County Coroner Kathy Davis says a pedestrian was killed after being hit by a train in Bloomington early Monday morning.
The coroner’s office was called to the intersection of Front and Allin streets at 12:44 a.m. after receiving notification of a pedestrian being struck by a train. The Bloomington police and fire departments were already on scene.
Davis reports a male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene at about 1:30 a.m. The man’s name is being withheld pending further notification of family. This incident remains under investigation by the McLean County Coroner’s Office, Bloomington Police Department, and Norfolk Southern Railroad.
