SPRINGFIELD – No new conditions will be added to the state’s Medical Marijuana program.
Illinois Department of Public Health Director Nirav Shah said the list will stay at 39 conditions.
An advisory board recommended the addition of eight conditions to the program, including PTSD, autism and irritable bowel syndrome.
Last year, Gov. Bruce Rauner vetoed legislation that would have added PTSD to the program. The veto happened around the same time Shah rejected 12 conditions the advisory board recommended.
