Ronald Davison obit

Ronald A. “Ron” Davison, 63 of Bloomington, passed away on Monday (January 25, 2016) at 10:01am at his home after a 10 year courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma.

Per Ron’s wishes he will be cremated and no services. The family will receive friends and family between 1-3pm on Saturday (January 30, 2016) at 16 Norbloom Avenue, Bloomington.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Illinois Cancer Care 3105 Magory Drive, Bloomington, Illinois 61704.

Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, Illinois is handling arrangements.

Ron was born on October 3, 1952 in Springfield, MN, a son of Jean “Pat” and Aloma Evans Davison. He married Kimberly Moore on September 21, 1986 in Bloomington.

Ron is survived by his wife Kimberly of Bloomington, his father Pat of Daffel, MN, 5 children; Emily (Mark Leluga) Davison of Chicago Heights, IL, Sarah (Brian) Combites of Camp Lejeune, NC, Ellie (Darren) Guess of Nashville, TN, Erin (Greg) Buhl of Rockford, IL and Mike (Emily) Davison of St. Charles, IL, 7 grandchildren; Ella and Brylee Combites, Molly and Grady Guess, Jason, Olivia and Maxwell Buhl, a brother; Rick of Omaha, Neb and a sister; Patsy (Gar) Eigen of Hutchinson, MN, his in-laws; John and Mary Moore and sister-in-law; Becky Moore-Jones (Bobby Jones), nieces and nephews; Tarah, Tracie, Tamie, Corey, Rick, Jack and Reece.

He is preceded in by his mother and a brother Mike.

Ron graduated from Springfield High School in Springfield, MN in 1970 and was drafted by the Minnesota Twins Minor League Baseball Team.

Ron moved to Bloomington to open/manage the Foot Locker Store in Eastland Mall, he later worked at Barker/Olds/Cadillac and Leman’s Chevy City as a service adviser. In his leisure time Ron loved to golf, hunt and fish.

The family would like to especially thank Dr. Kumar, Nancy Irwin and all the wonderful nurses and staff at Illinois Cancer Care for all their care and support throughout the years.
