NORMAL – Police have arrested a man from Chicago in connection with the robbery of a gas station on Christmas.
Normal Police say Darius Vaughn, 27, was arrested Tuesday at an apartment in Normal on charges of aggravated robbery. He’s accused of stealing an undisclosed amount of money from the Shell station at 1617 N. Main St. in Normal. Police are accusing Vaughn of entering the store around 12:30 a.m. on Christmas and demanding money from a clerk while displaying a handgun and covering his face.
Vaughn is being held on $150,000 bond.
