BLOOMINGTON – A group of juniors and seniors from Central Catholic High School are in Washington D.C. for Friday’s annual March for Life.
The event marks the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Roe vs. Wade decision.
“One of the important things for the student is to see the number of young people that are also living out their faith,” said CCHS Chaplain Peter Pilon. “Especially with regards to the sanctity and dignity of human life from the moment of conception until natural death.
“It helps them to see that they’re not alone.”
CCHS has sent students to the March for Life since 2003.
Pilon added it’s always good to see the students grow their faith during the event.
“That’s what I’m trying to help them do is to grow in wisdom and knowledge, not only in terms of their faith, but also in their academics as well,” he said.
Central Catholic students also attended the March for Life in Chicago on Jan. 17.
