BLOOMINGTON – Illinois State’s women’s basketball team goes for its second straight Missouri Valley Conference victory today when it travels to Indiana State.
Coverage on WJBC 1230 AM and 93.7 FM begins at 1 p.m between the 3-10 Redbirds and the 5-8 Sycamores. Both teams are 1-1 in league play. ISU coach Barb Smith said the Redbirds need to continue to work on a number of things to improve their record.
“I think we need to work on our consistency, trying to put back-to-back efforts together, trying to put back-to-back possessions together and we have to take better care of the basketball,” added Smith. “Obviously, we had a really good shooting game the last game, but we need to have more consistency in that area. And we need to keep growing our intensity and defensive effort.”
The NFL playoff game between the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks is on WJBC 1230 AM beginning at 3:15 p.m.
