Gov. Bruce Rauner Tuesday added 11 more counties as state disaster areas due to flooding.
The newest counties include: Cass, Cumberland, Iroquois, Lawrence, Marion, Menard, Moultrie, Pike, Richland, Sangamon and Vermilion.
Last week, twelve counties were named state disaster areas — Alexander, Calhoun, Christian, Clinton, Douglas, Jackson, Jersey, Madison, Monroe, Morgan, Randolph and St. Clair. Today’s announcement brings the total number of declared counties to 23.
