BLOOMINGTON – Many Central Illinois are finally seeing the light as the power is back on in thousands of homes and businesses following Monday’s ice and wind storm which led to widespread outages.
Ameren reports it has about 200 customers in McLean County still without power as of early Thursday, while Corn Belt Energy has restored power to nearly all of its members in McLean County, though it still has close to 400 customers in the dark across its service area.
Corn Belt says it is brought in crews from eight other cooperatives, as well as other communities to assist with their crews efforts to restore power.
