BLOOMINGTON – The Salvation Army of McLean County has surpassed its goal for this year’s Red Kettle campaign with some time still left to go.
Spokeswoman Angie Fulton said including money collected last night, the organization has raised $233,000 dollars through the red kettles this season. But the larger “Make A Difference” campaign is still short of its goal by about $53,000.
“Our mail appeal and online donations are a little behind pace from where we’d like to be right now,” Fulton said. “But certainly if you were thinking about donating before the end of the year, you can still get your donation in.”
Fulton said you can donate online at sabloomington.org or through mail to The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 3186, Bloomington, IL 61702.
