BLOOMINGTON- A house is a complete loss after a late night fire in Bloomington on Friday.
Bloomington Fire responded to a structure fire at 2309 Rainbow Ave. Friday night at 9:09 p.m. When they arrived, they found the back of the house completely engulfed in flames. Crews from both Bloomington and Normal brought the fire under control in about 50 minutes, but most of the home is a complete loss.
Damages are estimated to be around $125,000. No injuries were reported in the fire, however two dogs did perish.
The fire is under investigation while the sole occupant of the home is being assisted by the American Red Cross
