SPRINGFIELD – The two prisoners who escaped the Dixon Springs Impact Incarceration Program are now back in custody.
The Illinois Department of Corrections said Jerrette Reed and Kevin Rivera were caught without incident in a field about a mile west of the facility just before 9 a.m. Monday morning.
IDOC staff noticed the two were missing a little before 6 p.m. on Sunday. Reed is serving a three year sentence on meth related charges out of Randolph County. Rivera is serving a five year sentence for the manufacture and delivery of cocaine out of Cook County.
Illinois State Police, the U.S. Marshalls, and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the search.
