Harry Lee Harsha, 71, of Hudson, passed away at 12:19 p.m. on Nov. 26 at his residence.
Cremation rites have been accorded His visitation will be held from 4-7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hudson Community Fire Protection District.
Harry was born on Sep. 27, 1944 in Bloomington, a son to Furman Edwin and Bessie Mann Harsha. He married Susan M. Swanson on Sep. 12, 1981 in Bloomington.
Surviving are his wife, Susan Harsha of Hudson; four siblings, Dennis Lyle Harsha, Nancy Ann (T.J.) Powell, Charles Edwin (Linda) Harsha and Vickie Lynn (John) Powell; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Harry proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Industrial Technology. He was employed at State Farm Insurance, retiring in 2000 after 30 years of employment. Harry also had been employed as a baker.
Harry was a woodworker and was a stained glass artist and restored older woodworking machinery. He enjoyed camping and traveling as well as all things in nature. Harry had an inquiring mind and enjoyed taking classes to learn new things.
He was a loving husband and brother and a loyal friend. He was a kind and caring man who was always there for whoever needed him and had a unique and quirky sense of humor.

Roy Oliver
Roy S. Oliver, 74, Chenoa, died at 1:27 pm Nov. 28 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa with Fr. Carl LoPresti officiating. Burial will be in Chenoa Twp. Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa. The family suggests memorials be given to the Fairbury American Legion Speedway.
Mr. Oliver was born March 15, 1941 in Russellville, Ala. the son of Howard Lee and Ruby King French. He married Emma Ward on Dec. 29, 1973 in Pontiac. She survives in Chenoa.
Other survivors include seven children, Donald Miller, Cullom, Rick (Deb) Golliday, Pontiac, Buck (Brenda Ballance) Golliday, Chenoa, Dawn Sharp, Bloomington, Geoph Oliver, Lebanon, Mo., Douglas (Tammy) Oliver, Chenoa, John (Gina) Henline, Bloomington, 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and one brother, Howard (Mary) French Jr., Princeville.
He is preceded in death by one daughter, Jean Miller, one son, William F. Miller, two grandsons, Kyle Sharp, Tyler Friant and three half sisters.
Mr. Oliver worked in the maintenance department at Interlake Steel, Pontiac for 38 years retiring in 2005. He was a NASCAR and stock car racing fan that enjoyed fishing.
