BLOOMINGTON – Home Sweet Home Ministries isn’t done distributing Thanksgiving meals.
After handing out about 8,000 meals through its Give Thanks campaign, the organization plans to serve roughly 150 people at Thursday’s annual Thanksgiving Day meal.
“We have about 100 different volunteers,” said Communications Coordinator Chyanne Corrigan. “Some of them are families who do it every year. They go and they deliver the meals and wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.
“It’s a cool day here on Thanksgiving.”
Corrigan says Home Sweet Home will deliver about 530 meals to people who aren’t able to leave their homes.
“It’s just a fun, happy atmosphere,” she said.
Thursday’s Thanksgiving meal begins at 12:30 p.m.
