Man pleads guilty to beating pregnant woman

BLOOMINGTON – A man from Bloomington has been sentenced to three years in prison for beating a pregnant woman.

Jeremy Coleman, 33, agreed to a plea deal this week and avoided a jury trial.

The charges accused him of grabbing a woman and threatening to beat her if she answered the door when cops were called to a domestic dispute in June. Coleman was also accused of hitting the pregnant woman in her stomach in a separate incident that month. He was given credit for 150 days served.
