She earned multiple basketball honors, including being named a 2002 Class A Player of the Year Finalist by the Pantagraph and being named to the 2002 Class A All-Area First Team. Despite those accomplishments, Maggie’s basketball career is best remembered for her big smile and the bright red lipstick she wore during games. Her parents and a group of wonderful caregivers (especially Maggie’s dear friend, Sue McDonald) cared for her every need. Despite the limitations her illness placed on her, Maggie’s smile still lit up every room she was in. She enjoyed time with her family the most. Maggie loved listening to stories from her sister, laughing with her brothers, going on rides and watching sports with her dad, and being her mom’s sidekick every day for those 11 years. She especially loved Sunday night dinners with her entire extended family.

Maggie is also survived by her loving Aunt Ann and Uncle Dean, as well as her cousins and life long friends Erin, Deano, Vanessa and Shane Davis. Her extended family also included the Costigan, King, Derry, Kloss and (Maryland) Sprague families she loved so much.
