ISU hosts Western Illinois for homecoming matchup on WJBC

BLOOMINGTON – Game Day with Adam Studzinski kicks off sports coverage today at noon on WJBC 1230 AM.

That will be followed by the Illinois State homecoming game against Western Illinois at 1 p.m. in Missouri Valley Conference action. Kickoff is at 2 p.m. in a battle for the conference lead.

ISU, ranked No. 3 nationally, has a 5-1 record and has won 15 straight home games. That streak is the longest in the FCS ranks and second at all levels. The Redbirds are 3-0 in the Valley while Western Illinois is ranked 20th nationally with a 4-2 overall record and a 3-0 conference mark.

Also, on your computer or smartphone at wjbc.com, Illinois Wesleyan plays at Elmhurst in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin action at 6 p.m., while the ISU volleyball team plays host to Missouri State at 7 p.m. in Valley volleyball.

Meanwhile, at 7 p.m. the Bloomington Thunder travels to Madison (Wis.) in hockey action.
