John Michael Casey, 84, Fairbury, died at 6:50 a.m. Oct. 21 at his residence, Fairbury.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with Fr. Scott Archer officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday also at the memorial home. The family suggests memorials be given to the Livingston County Humane Society or to OSF Hospice.
Mr. Casey was born Sep. 6, 1931 in Buffalo, N.Y. the son of Paul and Marion Fergen Casey. He married Kay Huddleson Craddock on July 14, 1990. She survives in Fairbury.
Other survivors include his children, John Casey Jr., N.C., Karen Baker, Painesville, Ohio, Mary Womble, S.C., David Casey, Ravina, Ohio, Chris Casey, Painesville, Ohio, stepchildren, Brenda Heavner, Pittsfield, Michael Craddock, Fairbury, Trish Kinkade, Bloomington, Cindy Cotton, Normal, Dave Taylor, Fairbury, Renee Wenger, Strawn, Aimee Marma, Braidwood, Charisse Feeley, Colo., Lynette Taylor, Calif., many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and one brother, Joe Casey.
He is preceded in death by two brothers and one son, Jim Casey.
Mr. Casey was a talented woodworker and had worked for A & P Tea Co., Addressograph, Tow motor and then Caterpiller Inc., Pontiac until his retirement in 1993.

Bee Bower Diggle passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 20, at Snyder Village with her husband and family by her side.
A Celebration of Bee’s will be held Saturday. at 11:00 a.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church in Bloomington with Rev. Vaughn Hoffman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.
Burial will be at Gridley Cemetery in Gridley. Memorials may be made to the Baby Fold or to Wesley United Methodist Church.
Bee was born on July 5, 1930, in Bloomington, a daughter of I.J. and Pearl Mitchell Bower. She married Edward L. Diggle on Feb. 7, 1953, at the Bower family home.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Edward Diggle of Metamora; her children, David (Susan) Diggle of Germantown Hills, and Alice Cantwell (Bret Cook) of Moorpark, Calif.; affectionately known as Gram to her grandchildren, Ben (Melissa) Diggle, Amy Diggle, Dan Diggle, Chris (Cathleen) Cantwell, Libby (Jerrad) Hare, and Andy (Heather) Cantwell; great-grandchildren, Liam and Eddie Cantwell, Addie, Holden, and Ryan Hare, and Christian and Chloe Cantwell; one sister, Sue (Norman) Morrison of Newark, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Alice; and a son-in-law, Bill.
Bee was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Bloomington. She graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She served on the Baby Fold Board of Directors and was a charter volunteer for Hospice in Bloomington and active in the Women’s Bible Study.
She was an avid bridge player and played in several local bridge clubs for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, reading, writing short stories, and felt most at peace spending time by the water and in the sun.
