Jury acquits Bloomington man in sex abuse trial

BLOOMINGTON – A Bloomington man has been acquitted of sexual assault charges following a trial in McLean County court.

A jury deliberated for five-and-a-half hours on Wednesday before finding Christopher Bowling, 40, not guilty on charges of criminal sexual assault.

Prosecutors had accused Bowling of molesting a girl over a six-year period starting when she was 12.
