CLINTON – DeWitt County Coroner Randall Rice said a Clinton woman was found dead following a house fire early Friday morning.
Emergency crews who were called to the scene of the fire at 1:39 a.m. reported finding a woman inside who could not be revived. She has been identified as 81-year-old Annie Lucille Bolan. Rice said she was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:05 a.m.
An autopsy will be scheduled. The DeWitt County Coroner’s Office, Clinton police and fire departments and the Illinois State Fire Marshall are investigating the death.
