ISU’s Winkel named Athena Award winner

NORMAL – The McLean County Chamber of Commerce has presented its annual Athena Award to Doan Winkel an assistant professor of
entrepreneurship at Illinois State University.

Winkel was presented the award at a chamber dinner at ISU’s Brown Ballroom at Bone Student Center on Wednesday,.

Among other accomplishments, Winkel recently helped organize the With My Girls Empowerment Institute at Heartland Community College and the Women Mean Business panel.

The award honors those who empower female leaders.
